The jaw crusher is a historically significant and widely used crushing equipment. Named “tiger mouth” because its appearance resembles an animal’s mouth. This crusher mainly consists of a crushing chamber formed by the moving jaw and the fixed jaw plates. It accomplishes the crushing of materials by simulating the biting action of an animal. The equipment can handle various ores and large materials with a hardness not exceeding 320 MPa. Making it suitable for industries such as mining, metallurgy, building materials, highways, railways, water conservancy, and chemicals.

Proper Operation of the Jaw Crusher

The jaw crusher’s structure is relatively simple, mainly including the frame, eccentric shaft, large belt pulley, flywheel, side guard plate, toggle plate, adjusting screw, reset spring, and the fixed and moving jaw plates. The eccentric shaft drives the movement of the moving jaw plate up and down through belts and pulleys, while the reset spring ensures that the moving jaw plate returns to its initial position after each crushing operation.

To ensure the normal operation of the jaw crusher, regular maintenance is necessary. For example, every 400 hours of operation, an appropriate amount of automotive grease or No. 3 lithium-based grease should be added for lubrication. Every 2,000 hours, the main shaft assembly should be opened for bearing cleaning. Generally, after 7,200 hours of work, the bearings need to be replaced with new ones. Additionally, correct operation is crucial to ensuring the equipment’s long-term stable performance.
